100.3 The Sound “Triple Play Thursday Cash Reward” CONTEST

OFFICIAL RULES  - REVISED February 5, 2010

1. Dates/Eligibility.  The 100.3 The Sound  TRIPLE PLAY Cash Reward (the “Contest”) begins December 3, 2009, and continues through December 23, 2010.  100.3 The Sound (the “Station”) may change the dates and/or terms of the Contest, including canceling the Contest, without prior notice.  Any material changes will be announced on the Station.  The Contest is open to all legal residents of Los Angeles Metro (including Los Angeles, Orange, Ventura , Riverside and San Bernardino Counties) in California, eighteen (18) years of age and older at the time of entry.  Employees or agents of the Station, any entity associated with the sponsorship or administration of the Contest (collectively, the “Sponsors” or any other television or radio station that serves the Los Angeles, California area, as well as members of the same household of any such employee or agent, may not participate.  The phrase “members of the same household” includes spouses, siblings, parents, children, grandparents and grandchildren, whether as in-laws or by current or past marriages, remarriages, adoption, co-habitation or other family extension, and any other persons residing at the same household, whether or not related.  No more than one (1) winner per household.  There is no purchase necessary to enter or win the Contest.  A purchase will not improve the chances of winning.  Winners of a prize in any contest conducted by the Station during the thirty (30) day period immediately prior to the start of the Contest may not participate. The contest may be suspended if Triple Play Thursday is preempted by other programming. ***revised 6/4/10.

2. How to Enter. In order to enter in to win the TRIPLE PLAY CASH REWARD contest you must 1.) Be a Sound Board member, 2.) Submit entry on 100.3 The Sound’s website at www.thesoundla.com and 3.) request your favorite 3 songs by a favorite artist via the entry form on the TRIPLE PLAY CASH REWARD webpage. No more than 2 of the 3 requested selections may be taken from the same album . One entry per person.  Additional entries will replace previous entries.

3. Selection of Winners.  Beginning Thursday, February 11, 2010 and continuing every Thursday for the duration of the contest, the Station will select one (1) contestant  at approximately 9:00am (PST) and announce the contestant’s name and play their requested songs.. The Station will select another contestant at approximately 3:00pm (PST) and announce that contestant’s name and play their requested songs. The Station will select these two (2) contestants  from all eligible entries received to date. Selection will be made based on the musical merits of contestants’ requested songs, as evaluated by Station. The contestant whose name is announced and whose songs are played will have fifteen (15) minutes from the time of the announcement on air to call the Station at 888-696-1003. If the contestant does not call the Station within the allotted time, the contestant will forfeit the opportunity to win and no alternate name will be selected.  Only the person whose name is called is eligible to win at that time for that day.  Odds of winning are determined by the total number of eligible entries.

4. Prizes.  Potentially, two prizes will be awarded weekly in the Contest.  Each prize will consist of  a check for $3,000.00.  Each winner will be required to produce identification satisfactory to the Station.  Each winner will be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility and release, including a publicity release, as prepared by the Station, prior to receiving the prize.  Each winner will be responsible for any taxes or fees that result from the receipt and/or use of the prize.  Each winner will be required to complete an IRS Form W-9 and will receive an IRS Form 1099-Misc for the amount of the prize.

5. Conditions/Restrictions.  In exchange for the right to participate in the Contest, each contestant agrees to release and indemnify the Station and each of the Sponsors, and the officers, directors, agents, parent companies, subsidiaries and employees of the Station and the Sponsors, for, from and against any and all claims, demands and/or causes of action of any nature or kind whatsoever, whether presently known or unknown, foreseen or unforeseen, that arise out of the contestant’s participation in the Contest or, if the contestant is a winner of a prize, the use of their prize.  Entry into the Contest constitutes permission for the Station and each Sponsor and/or its respective designees to use the contestant’s name, likeness, portrait, voice and/or biographical material for an unlimited period of time in order to advertise, promote or publicize the Station or the Sponsors and/or the products and services of any of its designees.  Anyone using fraudulent means to participate in and/or win the Contest will be subject to disqualification.  Neither the Station nor the Sponsors are responsible for technical, hardware, software or telephone or other transmission failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections or incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmission, regardless of cause.  The Station reserves the right in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend the Contest should a virus, bug or other problem beyond the control of the Station corrupt the administration, security or proper execution of the Contest.

6. Rules.  Copies of these rules are available at the Station’s website (www.thesoundla.com), at the studios of the Station, located at 5900 Wilshire Blvd. #1900, Los Angeles, CA 90036, during regular business hours or by sending a request, along with a self-addressed stamped envelope, to the Station at the address above.

7. Removal Request.  To remove your name from any further mailings from 100.3 The Sound, please send a request in writing to the Station at 5900 Wilshire Blvd. #1900, Los Angeles, CA 90036.
